Took a bus to my school with chevin today! Asked the details of the orientation at the reception. People there are really friendly. Cant wait for school to start!! :))
Tagged along to see Chevin's jamming session with the disabled people. They can play really good music~ They had this party after the session and there were so much food! Tempting but didnt eat ok! :P
The smiles that i see from their faces are very genuine. They dont judge people, they treat you well from inside without any intentions or motives. Felt comfortable around them. This guy, Tim, was one of them. I dont know what's wrong with him coz he looks really normal to me. I can feel that he was trying very hard to make a conversation to make me feel comfortable in the room. Haha. Showed me the pics in his iphone etc coz there was really nothing left to talk about! >.< Funny guy.
Heard from Uncle Roy that most of them are from single parent family coz normally the dad will abandon the wife and the disabled kid once he realised the kid is abnormal when he or she is born. Damn A-hole!!! Normally the mom will take the responsibility and stay with the kid and i believe its not easy for her to raise a child alone, and on top of that, who needs special care.
In Australia, they dont practice what we do in Asia. The parents expect the children to support them when they are old but in western countries, the parents will let go of their kids once they turn 18 and they will support themselves. Hmm..not use to this kind of culture thou coz i always believe in being filial. Returning our parents what they have given us using almost more than half or their lives to do so.
Had a great experience with these special kids, may all of you be healthy and happy always. (^.^)
